Buyer beware
My husband wanted to surprise me for my birthday with a new die. He ordered the Rag Quilt Circle thinking I would be able to use it with my Go Big! Sadly, it doesn't work. When we received it, I explained that it won't work on my cutter. When I checked into returning the unopened, still in it's original package, I was told that Studio dies are not returnable. They suggest selling it on Ebay. So, we are now out the $200+ for the die that we may or may not be able to find a buyer for. If you're able to talk to a representative before you, or a friend or loved one decides to order for you, be sure to confirm that if the product is not usable with your machine, that you can return it. He tried calling but wasn't able to reach anyone. My husband is very disappointed. What should have been a surprise for me and a wonderful gift from him, has turned into a financial loss. The die is not custom made. It is a die that is shown in the product line and should be eligible for return. We understand having to pay for the return postage, but even a company credit would be better than nothing.
I too am disappointed!

i do remember reading on their site that certain dies r not returnable. they also say which dies work with which machine. sometimes we get too over zealous in making a purchase that we overlook all the facts. i know i do. sadly, if u paid $200.00 from Accuquilt, most folks would rather go directly to Accuquilt for that purchase. unless a discount is given by you.

I appreciate your comment. Most husband's have no idea what machine their wife has. I know I will never get the price we paid back. I have a friend who sells on Ebay. She will see what we can get. My whole point was cautioning Accuquilt users to contact the company before purchasing. My husband did try calling but got the “all customer service representatives are busy at the moment” recording. 5 or ten minutes on hold is more than he will tolerate. It's our loss and a very expensive one as well!
